San Jose Qualifying Tournament at
Camden Community Center

Camden Community Center in San Jose, CA will be the site of the 2nd annual Camden Community Center 's FLL Qualifying Tournament. The 2009 tournament will be held on Saturday, November 14th from approximately 8:30am to 5pm. The tournament is an FLL qualifying tournament for Northern California.

Cost/ Registration

The Camden Qualifying Tournament will be charging $50 per team. Please finish paying quickly. Your team needs to mail all team and coach/mentor liability waivers ahead of time!

Important Team Information:

The tournament will have PVC flag poles that the team will carry with them from activity to activity. Teams are requested to bring an 11x17, hung long-ways team flag.  Can be paper or other material - it is just for identification for the day and fun.

There will be food available for sale. Food available includes:

Popcorn $1.00
Nachos $1.00
Soda $1.00
Water $1.00
Candy Bars $1.00
Pizza Slices (pepperoni, cheese combo) $3.00 or $5.00 for two

Additionally, nearby restaurants include Togos, Carls Jr, Wendy’s, Round Table, Le Boulanger, Chipotle, Armadillo Willy’s, Burrito Factory.


CLOSED PITS: Pit areas are for team members and 2 coaches only.  Each team will receive a Pit Pass Button for each team member and 2 coaches.  Only those with Pit Pass Buttons will be allowed into the Pit and onto the Robot Games floor area. The coaches can hand off the buttons to share but only those with a button will be allowed to enter.

There will not be video capture of these games or the presentation. Each team will receive ONE Camera Person Button.  This special Button allows the bearer to stand in the Camera Person Box at the Robot Games and the Presentations for the purpose of taking video or pictures.  This box will be marked on the floor with a large 'C' in it.  Please use this privilege graciously and respect the requests of the volunteers running the tournament.
