What to Bring:
- WEAR SOFT SOLED SHOES TO PROTECT
THE GYM FLOOR!
- Each team must bring 1 copy
of the completed team
introduction form.
- Each team member and coach
must submit a signed publicity and liability
release form.
- Bring a laptop computer
with your RCX programs on it. We recommend battery backup. Also, we recommend
having a backup of your programs on a CD or other media in case the
unthinkable happens.
- Bring a power strip and
an extension cord (at least 12 ft) for supplying power to your computer
at the pit area table. Power will be available, but it may not be directly
at your team's pit table.
- Bring your robot and all
attachments to the judging area and to the competition rounds.
- Bring your Mindstorms kit
for making changes or repairs to your robot.
- Bring fresh batteries.
- Bring a printout of your programs
(preferred), or a notebook computer, to the judging area.
- Bring project presentation
materials, articles about your team, or any other documentation to the
judging area.
- Bring a protective box
to transport your robot for both the design judging and robot performance
rounds.
- Bring a box or cloth (aka a garage)
to cover the robot and IR tower during program downloads. All robots must
be covered during downloading programs and downloading can only be done in
the team's pit area. Do not use tape on your RCX.
- Bring your team members
(make sure you know how they are getting to the tournament)
- Bring money to buy food,
tournament souvenirs and raffle tickets.
- Cell phone number of someone that
can reach your team in case of judge's callbacks at the end of the day.
OPTIONAL ITEMS
- Bring a project board that
shows pictures of your team at work or related to your research project. This
can be displayed in your pit area to highlight your FLL season.
- Bring a team sign (11"
x 8.5" landscape orientation).
- Bring an emcee intro card
with something witty or interesting that you want to have the MC talk to your
team about before your robotic performance rounds - these will only be accepted
if on 1 side of a standard 3" x 5" index card. Suggested things
are how you picked your team name, something funny that happened during the
FLL season or similar topics.
- Teams interested in receiving
feedback from the judges should bring a stamped, self-addressed, letter-sized
envelope, with the team name and number written in the lower left corner
of the envelope. This needs to be handed in when checking in the team in the
morning.
- Bring a team banner/poster.
Be sure to include your team name & number and something relating to this
year's theme (make sure it isn't too heavy to be held up with tape!) This
will be used as decoration in the pit area.
