Presidential Volunteer Service Awards

About the Award

Playing At Learning is proud to be a Certifying Organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. Our 12-month volunteer service period is June 30th of one year through June 29th of the next year. We did this to align with the school year.

Important to note that  Playing At Learning is only able to certify volunteer hours performed in service for one of our activities.  This would include volunteering at or running one of the events or coaching/mentoring team(s) for one of more of our 3 programs: Northern California FIRST LEGO League Explore,  Northern California FIRST LEGO League Challenge, and Northern California FIRST Tech Challenge. Specifically, we are not able to certify for hours spent with FIRST Robotics Competition activities including the local regionals or off season events.

Our record of service key is: NTH-22927

Service Award recipients receive:

  • An official President’s Volunteer Service Award lapel pin
  • A personalized certificate of achievement
  • A note of congratulations from the President of the United States
  • A letter from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation
