Policy – Youth Protection

 

GENERAL POLICY
An integral part of the mission and programs of Playing At Learning is a focus on youth; therefore, Playing At Learning will maintain zero tolerance toward child abuse.  Our program activities are a part of the international FIRST organization and we follow all FIRST policies related to youth protection.

STAFF/ REGULAR VOLUNTEER RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN

1. All Staff and regular volunteers will complete the required Child Abuse Prevention “Mandated Reporter” Training as well as complete Livescan screening as required by California law, AB506
2. Staff and regular volunteers are to be alert to the physical and emotional state of all children each time they report for a program activity. Any and all suspicions of suspected child abuse must be reported immediately.
   • All staff and all volunteers are required to follow the FIRST Youth Protection Policy including reporting of any youth or adult related concern that appears to violate the FIRST Code of Conduct.
3. Everyone involved in Playing At Learning’s program activities are expected to follow the FIRST Code of Conduct
