FLL EXPLORE VOLUNTEER

FIRST LEGO League Explore logo - horizontal

Working in teams (up to 6 members, grades 2-4), FIRST LEGO League Explore  captures young children’s curiosity and directs it toward discovering the wonders of science and technology. This program features a real-world scientific concept to be explored through research, teamwork, construction, and imagination. Guided by adult Coaches, teams use LEGO elements like LEGO Spike Essentials to build a model that moves. Teams will use an “Explore Set” which contains a LEGO model related to the year’s challenge theme.  Teams will illustrate their journey through an engineering notebook and develop a Show Me Poster.

The FIRST LEGO League Explore season culminates with an Festival capstone event where teams show off what they learned and created.

Most Northern California Festivals events have between 8 and 16 teams and are planned to last approximately 2 to 4 hours on a Saturday or Sunday.
